It’s that time of year again! Whether you’ll be packing lunches for your little ones or settling your young adult into a dorm, back-to-school is here. The pressure to be that organized super-mom is constant, but I definitely feel it more when September rolls around.
With that being said, one of my favourite things about Willow Park Village is how many errands I can knock off my list in one place. I know many of you are busy moms yourself, so I wanted to share my top picks in Willow Park Village for back-to-school prep.
Picture day is always a big deal in our household, so I took both of my kids for a little trim at First Choice Haircutters in Willow Park Village. It’s no-appointment-necessary at First Choice, which is always nice if we’re running behind or if someone’s schedule changes.
While we’re in the Village, I also took them to Stephanie’s Kids to pick out a few back-to-school outfits. Stephanie’s Kids carries a huge range of apparel for different age groups, plus I can find them everything there from staple fall jackets to socks – anyone else have a sock monster in their household?
For our family, back-to-school also means back to extra-curricular activities. My son plays hockey and my daughter takes dance lessons, so we’re back and fourth between the rink and the studio throughout the week. This means quick sandwiches are a staple, but my kids can get pretty bored of them, so I grabbed a few different kinds of bread and buns from Cobs Bread. It’s nice to know their products are baked fresh every day and are free of all those preservatives you usually see on labels at the grocery store. Before we headed home, we stopped at Booster Juice for fruit smoothies – also a staple when the week gets crazy.
So there you have it! There’s so much more to back-to-school than binders and pencils – haircuts, outfits and lunch prep too. This September, don’t forget about Willow Park Village when the stress sets in.
