Tune into the Beatnik’s pop-up shop in the park this October! A vintage music collector’s mobile haven, the Beatnik Bus is Calgary’s record store on wheels. Over the years, owner Kristin Poch and her father have carefully curated a vast collection of vintage records to sell in their mobile store.
Who is Beatnik?
Recognizing the reemergence of vinyl, Kristin’s entrepreneurial spirit inspired her to implement a food truck concept to her father’s dream of opening a record store after retirement. The bus welcomes everyone inside with a beautifully nostalgic 1970’s interior that houses more than 15,000 records. Equipped with its own set of turntables and an impressive assortment of records from all genres, the Beatnik Bus is a one-stop shop for anyone looking to rediscover that vintage sound.
Local culture and community
Supporting the local Calgary music scene, the Beatnik Bus not only carries albums by local bands, but encourages musicians to plug into the bus and jam for a live audience. Stay tuned to our Facebook page to find out when live performances will be happening at Beatnik’s pop-up shop in the park!
