Who is Lukes Drug Mart?
Opening its doors in Bridgeland in 1951, Lukes Drug Mart is Calgary’s oldest independent pharmacy. Family run since the beginning, Lukes Drug Mart has been passed down through three generations and experienced many evolutions in its lifetime. Today Lukes Dug Mart is run by Gareth Lukes, who has transformed his family’s pharmacy into a one-stop shop for everything from every day essentials to life’s simply luxuries.
Supporting The Little Guy
Since taking over his family’s business, Gareth has made it his mandate to support local merchants and small businesses making high quality products. Carrying a wide range of products including hand made soap from Alberta Natural Soap, quality socks from Friday Sock Co., colourful stationary from Regional Assembly of Text, clothing basics from Treeline Apparel, locally made treats from Fiasco Gelato, and even home decor from Plant Terrariums, Lukes has scoured the globe for daily necessities and gifts that make everyday living a little extra special.
The Art Of Local
Building on the mandate of supporting all things local and small business, Lukes has combined forces with PITH Gallery to showcase a selection of locally made art in the Willow Park Village pop-up space. Colourful works from Neal Moignard, Ryan Statz, and other local artists will line the walls of the pop-up space, creating a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.
