People often discredit Valentine’s Day as a holiday, but to be honest, it is one of my favourites! What’s not to love? It is a day to tell all the special people in your life just how much you love them. But, what I cherish most about Valentine’s Day is how everyone takes a moment out of their busy lives to enjoy a nice meal, pick up thoughtful gift, wear something special or indulge in a sweet treat.
As always, Willow Park Village is my favourite shopping destination for any occasion, and Valentine’s Day is no exception. This past Saturday I took a few minutes to go and pick up a little something special for everyone on my list!
Crave Cookies and Cupcakes
Crave always has the most beautiful cupcakes – especially during a holiday! I know my daughter will absolutely love the unicorn cupcake and my best friend adores anything red velvet, so I preordered a dozen cupcakes to be delivered to my house. How easy is that?! I’m already looking forward to indulging in Crave’s buttercream icing!
Wong Ken Jewellery
My husband has been wanting a new watch for a while now, but I haven’t been able to find one that truly suited him – until I went to Wong Ken’s in WPV. It turns out the store is offering 35 per cent off all watches from now until February 14t h. I can’t wait to see his face when he opens his gift, I know he’ll love it!
Chianti Café & Restaurant
Chianti Café & Restaurant is one of my favourite restaurants, it has something for everyone! The atmosphere is inviting and warm, so it makes for the perfect date spot. I got my in-laws a Chianti’s gift card for Valentine’s – to me, there is nothing more romantic than Italian on a cold winter night!
Knickers ‘N Lace
As I mentioned in my last blog, one of my New Year’s resolutions is to set aside more me time. I wanted to pick up something special for myself this Valentine’s Day, so I stopped by Knickers ‘N Lace. I was overwhelmed with the selection they had – they carry undergarments in all styles and colours. I absolutely love the baby doll top and eye mask I got (I plan on getting some extra beauty rest this Valentine’s Day!). I also picked up a new pair Muchachomalo underwear for my husband!
Blooms and Butterflies
Blooms and Butterflies is definitely one of my favourite flower shops in the city, so it’s a definite must on my Valentine’s shopping list. I always like to send my mom something special on Valentine’s Day so I pre-ordered a beautiful bouquet of her favourite flowers – roses! But of course I couldn’t leave empty-handed, so I picked up a bouquet for myself too – hopefully they will last until my own Valentine’s Day flowers arrive (hint, hint).
