Fall always reminds me of Thanksgiving. Amidst the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, getting together to enjoy a meal with family or friends is such a treat! Willow Park Village is the perfect place to satisfy your inner foodie. With the colder weather upon us, I’ll definitely be picking up their carrot and ginger soup and pork loin roast. For those wanting a stress-free Thanksgiving, Meez also offers a full Turkey dinner – all it takes is 20 minutes in the oven to heat up and dinner is done!
Another one of my guilty pleasures is Springbank Cheese Co. Since I’m hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year, I’ll be serving my signature cheese board as an appetizer before the big feast. A stop to Springbank Cheese Co. will definitely be in order – it’s the perfect place to pick-up a selection of yummy cheeses and delicious crackers and spreads. I love that they also carry lactose-free cheeses, so even my husband can indulge!
Of course, Thanksgiving dinner wouldn’t be complete without the centrepiece of your feast – the turkey! I always pre-order my turkey from Urban Butcher – their turkeys are locally raised without the use of hormones or antibiotics and are always so delicious and moist. North Sea Fish Market is one of my husband’s favourite shops in the village. He absolutely loves their clam chowder soup and insists I serve it at Thanksgiving dinner every year as a first-course. North Sea Fish Market makes it so easy – their housemade chowder is so delicious, plus you can even pick up a baked ciabatta bread to go along with it!
Any holiday party calls for a nice bottle of wine that pairs well with your lovingly-made Thanksgiving dinner. Willow Park Wines and Spirits is truly fantastic! The employees have broad knowledge on everything wine and can make the perfect suggestions for any meal pairing.
