Getting Life done at Willow Park Village
I have been waiting so long to say this – Happy spring!! When spring arrives everything feels fresh and new (goodbye cabin fever!). Something about blooming flowers, longer days and knowing that summer is fast approaching instantly lifts my mood, who else is with me?
However, because I feel more energized when spring arrives, I get an urge to always “get life done” in April and jump head first into spring cleaning – that goes beyond the interiors of my home.
H & R Block
I hate tax season, but H & R Block in Willow Park Village makes every tax season hassle free! The staff are so helpful and they are able to give me insightful information that I wouldn’t have known without their help. Taxes definitely stress me out, but H & R Block doesn’t! For all of you who have yet to file your taxes, I definitely recommend H & R Block Willow Park.
Newton’s Dry Cleaning
As always, spring cleaning means cleaning out your closet. Whenever spring cleaning is brought up, most people suggest throwing away everything you haven’t worn within the last 6 months, and although I agree, I also think it is important to take a second look. Often, if I am unsure about certain pieces of clothing, I will bring them into Newton’s Dry Cleaning. Their dry-cleaning service is so amazing; it brings all of my clothes back to life!
Because I keep this trick up my sleeve, I will often bring my favourite spring and summer pieces to Newton’s as well, to ensure they look fresh and clean for the spring and summer months!
M & M Meats
For me, spring cleaning also means cleaning up my diet. Over the winter months, I indulge more than I mean too (but, who doesn’t right?!). I always use spring as an opportunity to include healthier food options into my whole family’s diet. M & M Meat’s has so many great, healthy alternatives that are easy and quick for those with a busy schedule. Some of my springtime favourites for a light and delicious supper are: Lightly crusted garlic and herb haddock and ancient grains with quinoa and a vegetable blend.
We all know that Willow Park Village is my favourite destination in the city, but in spring I fall in love with the Village all over again. I love the fact that it allows me to be outside while I am running my errands – truly enjoying the springtime temperatures.
What is on your spring to-do list?
Until next time,
-XO Willow
