Sunshine, the smell of freshly cut grass and flowers in bloom are all telltale signs that summer is just around the corner! The weather in Calgary is never predictable, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this summer will be a warm one.
While my kids count down the days until the last day of school, I visited Willow Park Village to run a few errands and enjoy a little ‘me’ time before the craziness of summer break kicks in.
California Tan Ltd.:
It’s amazing what a good tan can do! Not only is my skin glowing and golden, but I look more refreshed and feel ready for all those summer parties and BBQs. I love treating myself to a spray tan from California Tan – the staff are so knowledgeable and ensure my tan always looks flawless, natural and even. If you want to get a head-start on your tan before you hit the beach this summer, be sure to visit California Tan and check out their June specials!
Clarks England:
A new season means new shoes, right? With summer almost here, I stopped by Clarks England to pick up a new pair of sandals. Clarks carries a wide selection of comfortable and stylish shoes in a variety of colours and patterns. I know Clarks’ Adesha River sandal will by my go-to choice for footwear this summer. The sandals feature a unique, hand-drawn print and Clarks Cushion Plus for lasting comfort – the ultimate summer combination.
Sushi Ginza:
Don’t get me wrong, I love having my kids home for the summer months, but it certainly does make life more hectic. Before school is officially let out for summer, I decided to treat myself to lunch at Sushi Ginza and enjoy the serenity of its tranquil Japanese waterfall garden. The Teriyaki Chicken Do rice bowl is my favourite item on the menu – just the thought of the Teriyaki sauce has my mouth-watering!
Well, there you have it – a few of my top WPV destinations to visit in preparation of the summer months ahead! What’s your favourite thing about summer? I can’t wait to enjoy my morning coffee on the patio and sip on a glass of lemonade as I watch my kids run through the sprinkler. Here’s to hoping for a warm summer season!
Until next time,
– XO Willow
