Happy Mother’s Day to all you hard working moms out there! It’s true what they say – being a mom is a full-time job, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. If being a mom has taught me anything, it’s to appreciate MY mom that much more. So I always try to make Mother’s Day extra special for her these days, and I’m planning a girls’ day for just the two us. I want to combine some of my mom’s favourite activities, along with other things I know she needs to check-off her list – I can’t help it, the mom in me is always coming out 😉
Broken Plate Kitchen and Bar
It wouldn’t be a girls’ day without stopping for lunch, so I decided to make a reservation at my mom’s favourite restaurant in Willow Park Village – Broken Plate. I can’t wait to indulge in some amazing Greek food; the tzatziki plate, spanakopita and mussels & fries are definitely a few of my favourites. Hopefully the patio isn’t too busy, so we can enjoy the sunshine!
Willow Park Village Chiropractic & Natural Health
After having two children, I know the physical toll that being a mother has on your body – from pregnancy through a child’s early years, a mother’s body goes through significant changes. I can’t even begin to imagine how my mom felt with four kids! I decided to book her an appointment at WPV Chiropractic and Natural Health – they help their patients manage the wear and tear on their bodies and take the time to explain what they’re doing. This will give my mom the energy she needs to continue being an amazing grandma!
C’est Casual Boutique
My mom rarely treats herself to a new outfit and with spring in full swing, I want to treat my mom to something from one of her favourite store – C’est Casual Boutique. C’est Casual’s comfortable and fashionable clothes are available in a variety of styles and selections that fit all body types. I want my mom to feel spoiled this Mother’s Day, and what woman doesn’t love a new outfit, right?
Ella Bella Maternity Boutique
Even though this post is dedicated to my mom, I can’t help but give a shout out to my sister who is a mom-to-be! She loves visiting Ella Bella – they carry an amazing selection of maternity wear that take you all the way through your pregnancy. Not to mention, the staff are so helpful and will assist you in selecting styles that suit your needs and flatter your body. Trust me (and my sister) when I say that anything from Ella Bella will make soon-to-be moms feel amazing! If you know any expecting mothers, be sure to visit Ella Bella’s Mother’s Day Sale on May 13-14!
I’m so excited to celebrate Mother’s Day with my mom this year! Now that I have kids of my own I don’t get to spend as much quality time with her as I would like, but when I do I ensure it’s extra special <3
How are you spending Mother’s Day this year? Whether it’s with your mom, an aunt, grandmother or even a good friend, make sure you celebrate all the amazing women in your life on May 14 and all-year round!
Until next time!
