Autumn is by far my favourite time of the year. There’s something about the crisp air and newly fallen leaves that makes it feel like a fresh start. With Thanksgiving, Halloween and (dare I mention it) Christmas just around the corner, autumn is the perfect time to enjoy a hearty meal, gather with friends and family and indulge in all things pumpkin.
Autumn’s arrival always seems to be accompanied by a never-ending to-do list. From preparing Thanksgiving dinner to picking up fall fashion must-haves, Willow Park Village allows me to get everything done in one place.
Of course, nothing can be accomplished until I have my morning cup of coffee. And like 90 per cent of the rest of the world, I am addicted to Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks. Starbucks is always my first stop in WPV – once I have my Grande, half-sweet, extra-hot #PSL in hand, I feel like I can conquer the world.
After getting my caffeine fix, I made a visit to The Down Shop where I picked up some cozy bedding for the cold winter nights ahead. Flannel sheets and fleece blankets make it so hard to get out of bed in the morning, but it’s so worth it at the end of a chilly day. There’s nothing like snuggling into a comfy bed when the temperature drops below zero.
As a busy mom to two kids, I don’t always have time to plan my outfit for the next day, so I’m all about sweater weather. A cozy, over-sized sweater and pair of leather boots are so easy to throw on and always manage to look stylish and effortless. I stopped by CheckMate Shoes and Aldila Boutique while I was in the Village to pick up some new wardrobe essentials for fall.
Last (but certainly not least) on my list is getting my turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. Hosting Thanksgiving dinner can be stressful enough, so I always pre-order my turkey from Second to None Meats. Not only is it easy to order, it tastes delicious and is always the favourite item on the dinner table.
This fall, WPV is giving back to those in need by collecting food bank donations at selected stores. Bring a non-perishable food item to your favourite WPV store to help ensure everyone can enjoy a healthy Thanksgiving dinner this holiday season.
